Dear Sanctuary Friends,

At our Annual Charge Conference on Saturday, November 8th, our District Superintendent, Dr. Gary George, shared with us the following scripture as he led us in Devotions - Luke 6:38 "Give to others, and God will give to you. Indeed, you will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands - all that you can hold. The measure you use for others is the one that God will use for you." As we approach this special time of year, I hope each of us takes a moment to remember this scripture as we go about our busy lives. You may then find yourself with many questions. What can I do for someone else? How much is enough? Where should I do it? Can I do it by myself?

Someone once told me, "Give til' it hurts, then give some more." God doesn't ask us to do more than He knows we can handle and He doesn't give us gifts so we can hide them away to wither and die. Opportunities to "Give to others" present themselves everyday. The simplest of gestures to a stranger can sometimes make the largest impression. Often we think of giving in financial terms, but giving to make a difference for someone else can come in many ways. Prayer, participation in one of Sanctuary's ministry programs and serving in missions work are other ways giving to others can occur.

As your Lay Leader, I'm here for each and every one of you. So, don't hesitate stop me on a Sunday morning or call/e-mail me during the week: brian.engemann@innoprint.com to ask a question or share your thoughts about Sanctuary with me.
