Grow Groups
Consider First Corinthians 12:12: "The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ."
At Sanctuary UMC we believe that we grow best when we are engaged in vital loving relationships with a few trusted others. Our aim is to offer a Grow Group for every type of person: no matter your location, your own sense of spiritual progress or your stage of life, there is an opportunity for you to connect and grow with other fellow travelers.
When and where can I sign up?
You can register for a Grow Group anytime, in one of the following ways:
- Online registration -click here!
- At Sanctuary on Sunday mornings, using the Response Card tear off section on the bulletin. Put it in the offering plate or hand it to the person at the Welcome Desk.
- Contacting Kate McAlary with any additional question or to register your interest. Kmcalary12@gmail.com
Alpha
The Alpha course is a 10-week opportunity to explore the validity and relevance of the Christian faith to your life today. It is a practical introduction to the basics of Christianity centered around a meal, a DVD talk, and a small group discussion. Alpha is a great place to get to know other people with questions in a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Each week a different topic is explored. Find out more here.
The next Alpha Course will begin in the Fall of 2012
Bible Studies
Seasonal - such as Advent and Lent - and topical Bible studies are offered periodically throughout the year during the week at an arranged time suitable for those who want to attend. The studies usually last 4 - 8 weeks, and bring those who may worship at different services together for thoughtful discussion on a variety of topics, with focus placed on scriptural application.
