CORE MINISTRY OF WORSHIP

The Core Ministry of Worship will seek to provide an environment for corporate worship to the end that we will glorify God with authentic, vibrant, relevant, visual worship. It will be worship that builds up the body of Christ and it will help us be what God wants us to be in the world.

  • John 4:23 “True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth.”
  • Romans 12:1 “Because of God’s great mercy to us, offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God dedicated to His service and pleasing to Him. This is the true worship that you should offer.”
  • Matthew 22 “Love the Lord your God. This is the first and greatest commandment.”

Core Ministry Leaders of Worship: Joanne Borchers, Nancy Pistilli

CORE MINISTRY OF NURTURE

The Core Ministry of Nurture will seek to help individuals grow in their Christian walk to the end that they will become like Christ, and serve Him in all their days.

Because discipleship is a life long process, persons of all ages will be presented with opportunities for Bible study and discussions on how God’s word is our guide, and means of knowing God better so our own decisions will be lived out in our practical day to day living, strengthening our witness, and carrying out the ministry Jesus himself initiated.

  • Romans 8:29 “From the very beginning God decided that those who came to Him and He knew who would should become like His Son.”
  • Eph. 4:15 “God wants us to grow up ... like Christ in everything.”
  • Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim the release of captives, that the blind will see, that the downtrodden will be freed from oppressors, and that the time of the Lord's favor has come.”

Core Ministry Leaders of Nurture: Dale and Donna Jasinski

CORE MINISTRY OF FELLOWSHIP

The Core Ministry of Fellowship will seek to help us all find ways to love one another more deeply. The four basic ingredients to our fellowship include: connecting, sharing, serving and loving one another. Fellowship will help us get to know and understand each other, and will enable us to discover one another’s needs, as well as provide opportunities for us to pray and care for one another, to the end that we will love each other as deeply as we do our own natural families. The ultimate goal of our fellowship is that by our love others will be drawn to the fellowship of believers.

  • Eph. 1:5 “His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ.”
  • 1 Pet. 2:17b “Love your spiritual family!”
  • Acts 2:44 “All the believers met together constantly and shared everything with each other.”
  • John 13:35 “Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are My disciples.”

CORE MINISTRY OF MINISTRY

The Core Ministry of Service will help people use their gifts, talents, and abilities to help somebody else in the name of Jesus. In the Bible the word “ministry” and “service” are the same word. And the word “minister” and “servant” are the same word. The truth is if you’re a follower of Jesus Christ you’re a minister. It doesn’t matter if you’re old or young, male or female – you’re a minister and a servant.

  • Eph. 4:16“The whole Body is fitted together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole Body is healthy and growing and full of love.”
  • Eph. 2:10 “We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
  • 1 Pet. 4:10 “Each one should use whatever gift he’s received to serve others.”
  • Matt. 25:21 “'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things so; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!”

Core Ministry Leader of Ministry: Bev Tucker

CORE MINISTRY OF MISSION

The Core Ministry of Mission will help people to recognize and to listen to the call of God. By participating in mission all will reflect Christ’s love by putting faith and love into action. It is the purpose of mission to do tangible works, to refocus spiritual growth through service and to encourage fellowship with community and fellow missionaries.

  • Isaiah 58:12 "Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.
  • I Timothy 6: 18, 19 Use your money to do good. Be rich in good works and give generously to those in need, always being ready to share with others whatever God has given. By doing this you will be storing up treasure as a good foundation for the coming age so that you may take hold of the life that is truly life.
  • James 2:14-17 “What good is it, if a person claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

CORE MINISTRY OF OUTREACH

The Core Ministry of Outreach will endeavor to empower people to reach our community for Christ. It will further be the purpose of outreach to get the word out that Sanctuary is committed to transforming lives, therefore they will work together with all Core Ministries to invite, bring, and connect people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ thereby participating in our commission to go make disciples.

  • II Timothy 4:5 “…do the work of an evangelist.”
  • Acts 1:8 “But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere--even to the ends of the earth."
  • Romans 10:14 “But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
